The Basic Remote Workplace First Aid Course is designed to provide the necessary tools for maintaining life in workplaces where medical help is greater than 2 hours away.
In addition to the basic first aid skills required for provincial and federal recognition, Basic Remote Workplace First Aid participants will learn patient management in unfavorable conditions and longer-duration settings. This includes the long-term management of an unresponsive victim, the management of neck and head injuries, and the treatment for many common workplace first aid situations.
Support texts include a standard first aid participant manual, a remote workplace first aid textbook, and a 450-page field guide that is customizable in content and branding.
This course follows the Practice Guidelines established by the Wilderness Medical Society & WSIB.
The Remote Workplace Emergency Medical Responder program is ideal for medical responders at small to large worksites.
