A 120-hour intensive paramedic preparatory course for the Province of Ontario primary care paramedic program.
The EMT / Pre-Paramedicine program is a preparatory program for individuals interested in pursuing a career in Paramedicine, Nursing or Medical Sciences, including Medical School. This program is not a stand-alone Paramedic program and it does not grant a successful candidate the opportunity to work as a Paramedic, upon successful completion of the program.
For candidates applying for entry into an Ontario Paramedic Program, the Pre-Paramedicine program will provide you with the “need to have” pre-requisite courses for entry into the program plus some extra “nice to have” courses—all included within the program! The additional certifications that we offer in our program include a full Emergency Medical Responder certification, as well as WHMIS, and a First Aid / CPR Instructor certification.
This course features:
In addition to the knowledge and valuable skills that you’ll gain during the course, you will also have the opportunity to have your physical ability challenged and tested by using the same equipment that you will be tested on during the lifting and physical ability portion of the actual college Paramedic Program. One of the top reasons that candidates are unsuccessful in their college Paramedic Program, is that they are unable to meet the lifting and physical fitness requirements. The EMT: Emergency Medical Training Pre-Paramedicine Program will offer you insight into your physical capability so you know whether you already meet the physical ability requirements or whether you need to work on these skills.
The next course intake is in November 2020. The cost of a course is $1800 and includes all class materials. To let us know that you are interested in our next course, please fill out the form below.
The First Responder course is a 40-44 hour medical responder course for workplace responders at small to large worksites.
The Emergency Medical Responder course is an 80-hour advanced responder program that meets the guidelines of the Canadian Medical Association and the Paramedic Association of Canada’s National Occupational Competency Profile.
